  • Kirchheim valley loop

The Kirchheim Valley Loop provides a leisurely start into your family vacation. This easy circular trail, which is divided into individual stages leading around the village of Bad Kleinkirchheim, is ideal for a short hike on a buggy-friendly path. You can also easily walk to the Kaiserburgbahn valley station along the Talrundweg.

  • Family hike to the Wöllaner Nock

The Kaiserburgbahn mountain station is the starting point of this family-friendly hiking trail to the Wöllaner Nock. Following the mountain ridges across green alpine meadows, this tour leads you to your destination at 2,145m above sea level after around 1.5 hours.

Those who would like to extend the hiking tour a little bit, head towards Feldpannalm. From the Wöllaner Nock the trail leads downhill through a dense spruce-larch forest. Klamerhütte and Wegerhütte invite to take a break. From there, head upstream past a number of alpine huts back to the Kaiserburg.

  • Family hike in St. Oswald

The circular hike to the Mallnock starts at the Biosphärenparkbahn Brunnach mountain station. The path opens up to incredible views and the summits of Kolmnock, Wöllanernock and Kaiserburg mountain. Continue via “Rote Burg“ to Lake Pfannsee. The St. Oswalder Bockhütte awaits ambitious hikers with a well-earned rest stop and hearty snacks. From there it’s half an hour back to the Biosphärenparkbahn Brunnach mountain station.

Active Park Bad Kleinkirchheim

Right by the Biosphärenparkbahn Brunnach mountain station, the Aktive Park Bad Kleinkirchheim is waiting for you and the kids to explore mountain adventures on an area of some 3.000 sqm. Different stations offer a variety of exercises to activate all the muscles of your body. Cool balancing elements such wobble boards or a rope bridge awaken all the familys' thirst for adventure. One of the highlights: the cable ferry to cross the pond with your own muscle power.

While the kids let off steam, parents can kick back and relax in comfortable swings, swinging chairs or on the sun-lounging jetty. Those who prefer things a little quieter can try out the adjacent Mountain Yoga Trail. The trail is also perfectly suitable for a leisurely hike with the baby buggy.

Whizzing down with the Kaiserburg Bob

Carinthia’s most modern alpine roller coaster starts at the Kaiserburgbahn valley station: The Kaiserburg Bob.

Take your family, hop on the bobsled and cruise down the mountain over a length of exhilarating 1.4 kilometers passing through 26 curves and turns. Your pulse never comes to rest at a maximum speed of 40 km/h and an average incline of around 24 %. Roller coaster feeling at its best. The highlight is without doubt the final lap with a 7-meter high spin.
